The 7.0 version is a great shoe. I experienced some of the the ankle rubbing mentioned by other reviewers and realized that adjusting the tongue slightly to the side eliminated this initial problem. I gave this shoe 4 stars because the white colored areas of the synthetic uppers have discolored to an offwhite/ivory color even though these were newly purchased from MWsports. This discoloration was extremely noticeable when wear white socks and less so with black socks. I'd buy another pair but preferably in another color.
Honestly for me, buying this shoe for around $60 was a steal ( I bought it during Christmas season). I am currently a senior and play on the Varsity High School team. In addition to playing during the season, i play roughly 2-3 times a week for about 1.5 hrs per session. The shoes durability is amazing however the outsole did wear out in 4 months in my case. I was almost happy it did because i virtually got another pair for free due to the 6 month outsole warranty. Couldn't be any happier with the shoe. Will definitely buy it again for my season in the spring.
First, they look good. Second, I walked around my house in them for about 15 minutes, they felt good, comfortable. Played three sets of doubles, perfect fit and after I finished, absolutely no foot fatigue!!!! Highly recommend!!
This shoe has great looks and support in addition to the 6 month outsole warranty. Truly the best adidas tennis shoe I have purchased
I like the stability and arch support these shoes offer. Absolutely loved them in my first and second matches but after third match I started having issues with toe jamming. Can't comment on durabilty yet, but after 3 matches I can see some wear in the toe area.
I read a lot of reviews before buying my first pair of Barricade 7's. There's a high arch and short break-in period, but they fit like a glove. I have great mobility with these shoes - no slipping. Great on hard courts and clay. I played 4-5 times/week on indoor hard courts for 8 months with little sign of wear. After six months of use, I was so impressed I bought another pair.
I am a lady player with a terrible case of plantar fasciitis. Women's shoes do not have enough support in arch to help adequately. One day we were buying my son a pair of shoes and I tried these on for fun and was so pleased!!!!
Excellent feel during court movement!
Great shoes. Liter than previous model. Fits my feet well
This is my third pair of Adidas shoes and I have got to say they have the best feel of any so far. Great support for ankles and not bad looking.
Midwest Sports Team is great ! I orderd my Adidas Barricade 7.0's tennis shoes from midwest, and they were at my front door in a few days ! Love the way they do buisness!! I go to there web site pick the shoe and size . Before I found midwest it always was tuff finding the right color & size Adidas. I've been wearing adidas for over (10) yrs. Now that I found Midwest, its easy!! I thank the Midwest Team!! Job well done!! Randy Mueller Seminole Florida
With the increased "grip" that these provided over my prior Barricades, the toe grabbed the court as I went chasing after a drop shot, thus causing me to fall, breaking one finger and getting 9 stitches in the other hand. Advice: break them in before playing competitively.
Great pair of tennis shoes. Lots of support and stability. I have been wearing Nike Vapors and Breathes for over 20 years. As I'm getting older my arches are weakening and the barricades give me better support and less pain.
These shoes are actually pretty good! I have somewhat wide feet and these shoes fit pretty well. They're a bit narrow, however, I think after breaking them in they'll be just fine. The bottom of the soles are pretty grippy so I really like these over my previous Babolat tennis shoes (I really did not like those). The laces hold on pretty well and I really like the way it just overall feels.
Stable, comfortable, durable tennis shoe that's stylish and fits true to size. I really enjoy the traction from this shoe when I come to the net or move back to hit a big overhead. My favorite shoe for tennis!
This shoe feels similar to the Barricade 5.0 which I really liked, but narrower in width. Otherwise, I would give it 5 stars.
Great all court shoes, but ordered 1/2 size larger since the shoes run small.
I was very happy with the product and the service from this Midwest Sports. Very professional. Planning to buy more tennis gear soon and will come back again for next shopping.
Because of some recent foot trouble I was open to try a variety of shoes. I gave these a chance, despite the garish color scheme, and I'm happy I did. After three outings they have proven to be the most comfortable court shoes I've worn with better arch support than others. Adidas isn't peddling hype when they say that they carefully designed these shoes, and the durability seems solid too. I can't recommend them enough!
Very stable high quality shoe, with consistent comfort, excellent construction, and generational advancement with each new version. Pricey to purchase, but the quality and the dependable guarantee justify the investment. If you foot matches the Addidas mold, you will not be disappointed in this newest version.
Great shoes with a solid feeling. Excellent lateral movement and not terribly heavy. Not sure if they are worth the money but still good regardless
Great shoe. Lasts a long time and holds up well until the sole wears out, unlike New Balance that feels good at first, but gets too sloppy over time. Only down side, the shoes squeak too much, which I think is due to the orthodics that I use.
Great shoes! Fit like a glove first time I put them on. Excellent traction and they are very stable. Im buying another pair!
