Very stiff out of the box; will need a lengthy break-in (casual wear) period before I take them on the court. That said, they feel very substantial, great support, very durable. The question for me is whether they will bond well enough with my feet and movements that I can forget about them when I play.

I used various brands for tennis shoes, and this one is the best shoes I used.

Great style and fit right out of the box. Ideal choice for those with a need for a roomy "toe box". Light weight, and durable. This is the sixth Barricade purchase over perhaps five years. Constant improvement and subtle style enhancements.

Adidas tennis shoes are still the best. Barricade line is the best of the best.Barricade 5 to me is 2nd to barricade 7 (discontinued) due to 1 feature which is the rocking between the forefoot and rearfoot. I still like it

If one is serious about tennis, then this is the only shoe to consider. It provides maximum support and comfort. I play 3=4 times a week and my feet are never sore.
