I haven't used Gel tennis shoes before. The shoes provide good comfort, traction, and support for quick starts and stops. After finishing tennis matches, my feet feel good with no soreness or blisters. (Not like other tennis shoes I've had) And they also look good.

Recommended by my doubles partner, and I have a pair of GEL 1700 running shoes which are great. So I played 2 sets with these GEL 8 right out of the box. Very comfortable true to size, I ordered a size 12 and they are "fitted" but not tight, 12.5 likely would be too big. Only thing I noticed is you feel like you're foot sits a little high in the shoe. This may be due to wearing Prince shoes which sits your foot pretty low in the shoe which I like. I think I can get used to these and they'll feel "normal". Traction was real good, they gripped and didn't slip but they did not grab too much like some Adidas shoes which can wrench your knee when pivoting a lot. Will need more play time to determine if this will be my new shoe to replace Prince.

Get them while you can. Great look, better comfort, padding, traction, and total support (even the arch).
4 Stars Comfortable but not wide enough

This is a comfortable shoe but I personally prefer shoes to be wider and less flat.
