The Babolat AeroPro Drive GT French Open edition offers an excellent cosmetic update to Rafael Nadal's racquet, with a brilliant red clay graphic inspired by Roland Garros. Continues the use of GT technology, by adding a hybrid of braided carbon fibers and tungsten filaments throughout the entire racquet. Tungsten strengthens the frame to reduce torque for greater precision (Babolat claims 26% more precision compared to the previous Aeropro Drive). Babolat continues to utilize the Cortex vibration filter at the top of the handle. Cortex is used in several of Babolat's players racquets to enhance feel by cancelling only the 2 highest vibration frequencies. Only those frequencies that enhance feel are permitted to pass through the Cortex filter.
Babolat has kept the specifications on the new Aeropro Drive GT French Open identical to the Aeropro Drive GT.
The Aeropro Drive GT will still appeal to a very wide array of players, especially for those looking for a slightly more flexible, spin-friendly alternative to the Pure Drive.
