The Babolat Drive Lite is updated with a new black and pink cosmetic, the racquet features Cortex Dampening System located in the two sides of the yoke. The innovative shape is designed to dampen the vibrations in order to bring to advanced players the best compromise between comfort and feel at ball impact.
Other than the addition of the Cortex filter (and a snazzy new paint scheme) Babolat has kept the specifications on this new version of the Drive Lite w/ Cortex the very similar to that of the 2013 Drive Z-Lite. The Babolat Drive Lite still has the feel of a "players" racquet with a solid, stable, comfortable feel, but with a broader appeal due to its lighter weight. This racquet is geared to the intermediate to advanced player possessing a longer, faster swing, who will appreciate the slightly lighter and more maneuverable feel versus the regular Pure Drive.
Note: This racquet is pre-strung with Wilson Synthetic Gut 16 at Babolat's recommended tension of 53 lbs. Racquet cover included.
I’m a beginner player and the pro that I have been taking lessons from recommended that I switch to a lighter racquet. I saw many options online, but most of them seemed a little pricey for me to pay since I’m just starting out in the game. I came across this racquet and the price was perfect! Not to mention the nice colors, I love that they have started to make racquets that would be more of a girl’s color! This racquet is awesome for a beginner or someone who just wants to improve like me. I love that this has the appeal of a players racquet, but would be suitable for beginner to intermediate with its lighter weight. This lighter feel was perfect for me and allowed me to really be able to hit out on my shots from the baseline, as well as gain some topspin that I did not have before. I strung this with Babolat addiction at mid tension and it was perfect for me.
4 StarsVery comfortable and easy to swing!

My game has vastly improved over the last year thanks to this frame. This is a very user-friendly stick, lightweight and really easy to swing. I am able to control a lot of my power and I've even added some topspin to my groundstrokes. This racquet is really comfortable as well; I notice minimal vibrations on my off-centered hits. I really recommend this fame to any up and coming player looking for a racquet that can blend power, control and spin.
