I play tennis for fun in the summertime and my friends have been teasing me about my 15 year old racquet, so I decided it was probably time to look for something new! Obviously I was looking for something with a low price and an updated cosmetic, basically something that just feels good in my hand. I saw the line of the flow racquets and bought one right away. I love that Babolat finally made a larger line of beginner racquets with a modern look. Let’s just say I definitely noticed a difference between my old racquet and this one! I’m even starting to play more often than just the summers. I love what this racquet has done for me and I’ll continue to use it for years to come.
I was really excited to see this new line of racquets that Babolat released. It seemed like they didn’t really have a strong line of beginner frames and I think this is perfect. I tested this along with the rest of the line and this was definitely my favorite. First of all, I love the cosmetics of this racquet (it helps that I am a UC fan!). But the biggest benefit by far has to be the low price of this frame. You truly can’t beat the quality of this racquet at this low of price. The racquet feels very comfortable and maneuverable on the court. I was able to gain confidence in approaching the net for volleys and overheads, and was able to hit out more on my ground strokes from the baseline as well as go after a flat serve. I really loved this racquet and would recommend it for any recreational or beginner player.
I had a Bobolat Aero Pure and looked for a more comfortable and flexible racket as I experienced a bit of elbow tendinitis. This racket trades in the pusher power of the Aero Pure for bit more comfy, flexibility, and forgiving. It has 4pts HL but to me, it feels Head-even, so the swing weight is not bad. However, the static weight is 1+ oz less than my previous Aero Pure, and its mobility shows at the net.
I compared the Flow against other top under $100 rackets, like Head Microgel, LiquidMetal, and Tsi 5/6. The Flow is better in power than Head Microgel, bit more control than LiquidMetal, and it's better at the net than Tsi 5/6. I passed on my Aero Pure racket to my teenage son, he can whip the ball /w that racket.
Cool cosmetic look from this Flow tour racquet. I was really happy about the low price of the racquet. I thought the weight of the racquet was just right for my game. I am a lower level player that doesn’t get out on the court that often & I didn’t have any noticeable complaints about this frame. The ball feels really good off the stringbed & the power was not lacking. The comfort level really surprised me. I would recommend this frame to any casual player looking for great value in price, but also great playability within the frame.
