The Babolat Pure Aero VS Tour is a heavier version of the Pure Aero VS that features a little more plow through. Babolat designed the Pure Aero VS Tour with control and spin in mind. Babolat's Woofer grommet system is highlighted on this frame, providing for longer ball and string contact time, generating maximum comfort and greater control. Cortex Dampening Interface has been incorporated with the Pure Aero VS Tour allowing for even better feel. The Pure Aero VS Tour also uses GT Technology, for extra stability at ball impact.
At a slightly heavier 11.9 ounces strung, the Babolat Pure Aero VS Tour will give players ample power to go with loads of spin — resulting in the opportunity for put-away points. Those players looking for an arm friendly, spin and control oriented frame with a nice access to power should get their hands on the Babolat Pure Aero VS Tour tennis racquet today!

The ultimate comfort technology from Babolat. The Cortex Dampening System interface was put into Babolat’s racquets to enhance feel by canceling out vibration frequencies. This technology is offered in two versions, the “Cortex System” focuses in on pure feel, reducing harmful vibrations. Babolat’s second offering, “Cortex Active” dampens vibrations allowing for maximum comfort.
Babolat’s Woofer system is the first and most effective frame to string linking system. This technology allows for longer ball and string contact time, creating maximum comfort and greater control.
Babolat’s GT technology was implemented to provide ideal stability at ball impact. With GT technology, the frame is strengthened which reduces the torque, allowing for great precision. The additional rigidity through GT technology provides ultimate control and additional power.
Aerodynamic frame shape allows the racquet to advance through the air at a faster pace, giving the player an easier opportunity to create optimal power and spin.
I think I prefer the standard version, the Tour is a bit heavy (all relative to what you are comfortable with.) Do like the thinner beam - feels like I get more whip on my shots and is not as bulky as the Pure Drive/Pure Aero. Nice update!
