I can’t contain my excitement when I found this racquet in a 107 inch head size. I have tried 105, 110, and even 115 but not one of them felt right for me! This racquet gave me everything I look for in a new racquet. A large sweet spot , power, control, and feel. It would be awesome if more brands chose to make a 107 because it really is a great in between option. The weight of this racquet was perfect as the larger head size was a little too light. I love how this racquet allows me to plow through my shots and keep the ball deep in the court while getting lots of topspin. I will be using this racquet for a long time!
This racquet recently completed my search for a racquet with a larger sweet spot, head size with ample power and control. It isn’t too often that you find a 107 square inch head size. Since I feel that a 110 is typically too large, this 107 size was absolutely perfect for me. This racquet was a little heavier than the 110, which helped me to swing through my shots with lots of power. The combination of power, control and comfort is wonderful in this frame. This racquet could be perfect for anyone looking for a slightly larger head size and a lighter weight for extra power. I strung this with Babolat VS Gut at slightly higher than mid tension for some more control.
As an oversized racquet fan, I love the 107 sq. inch specification. I personally wish more racquet brands offered that head size. I recently took this racquet out for a demo with the Pure Drive 110. I preferred the 107 to the 110 most due to the weight difference. 10.5 ounces strung is just the perfect weight for me. The 110 version was just a little too light for my liking. I also managed a little more control with 107 to the 110. I would recommend this frame if you want a mid-plus oversized racquet that offers loads of power with more control than bigger oversized racquets.
I bought this racket hoping to have a more bigger sweet spot whcih it does. However on the back hand side I have had to drastially modify my racket speed to keep the ball from going long. This racket has the capacity to keep the ball deep in the opponents court with very little effort. Like the racket but I switched from Babalot Aero drive which allowed me to use more racket speed - so there is an adjustment period with this racket.
I only used this racquet for one week as a demo. I liked this racquet very much. I didn't know I can generate so much power compared to my previous racquet (Wilson Pro Team FX BLX). The racquet is also very stable. Only drawback was that the demo racquet grip size was a bit large for my hand.
