2015 update, the Babolat Pure Drive range has expanded to include this new racquet with an even large headsize. The extremely powerful Pure Drive 110 is one of two oversized racquets in the Pure Drive Line. This racquet features Babolat's FSI "frame to string interaction" technology with a redefined sweetspot. Babolat's Pure Drive impact zone is located higher than the traditional center of the racquet. Elliptical shape of the frame helps with added resistance against torque and flexing for increased power. Cortex Dampening Interface for even better feel. Only those frequencies that enhance feel are permitted to pass through the Cortex filter. With the extended 27.5 inch extended length, the Pure Drive 110 serves as an ideal frame for players with a slower to modern swing looking for performance, lightness and comfort.

Babolat created a higher sweetspot on the string bed for additional power and comfort in the hitting zone. Frame String Interaction technology is located in the hoop of the racquet, allowing the ball to stay on the stringbed 25% longer than traditional racquets.
Babolat’s GT technology was implemented to provide ideal stability at ball impact. With GT technology, the frame is strengthened which reduces the torque, allowing for great precision. The additional rigidity through GT technology provides ultimate control and additional power.
The ultimate comfort technology from Babolat. The Cortex Dampening System interface was put into Babolat’s racquets to enhance feel by canceling out vibration frequencies. This technology is offered in two versions, the “Cortex System” focuses in on pure feel, reducing harmful vibrations. Babolat’s second offering, “Cortex Active” dampens vibrations allowing for maximum comfort.
Babolat’s elliptical frame shape is designed specifically to eliminate any added weight, frame twisting or racquet bending.
Babolat’s Woofer system is the first and most effective frame to string linking system. This technology allows for longer ball and string contact time, creating maximum comfort and greater control.
Unique frame thickness that gives the racquet less torque at ball contact, creating a livelier clean response
I demo’ed this and two other racquets in hopes to find a great over size frame for my game. This frame, the Pure Drive 115, and the Pure Aero 112 were all great frames in my opinion. Because they were all different grip sizes but fairly close , I knew it was going to be a tough call. All three racquets provided pros and cons and it was a tough decision. This racquet gave me the extra push that my game needed! By itself the racquet generates a lot of great power, and the lightweight assists in that as well. It was easy to swing through this and the extended length allowed me to cover more of the court. I was able to reach up and get more height and power on my serve as well, which is what I really needed. The size of the head was perfect and I think it was just what I was looking for. Very satisfied with this frame!

As I am getting older I can tell that my tennis game has been needing an extra push. I knew that I needed to upgrade to a larger head size in a racquet, as I cannot generate as much power with a 100sq inch head. I also needed something that was going to make gaining power on my shots as easy as possible. The Pure Drive 110 seemed to be a great frame for me, as it generates power on my swing with little to no effort. This racquet feels super comfortable and so far I am loving the larger sweet spot, allowing me to cover the court with ease. The extended length allowed me to reach more ground strokes and really excel on my serve. I strung my PD with Babolat RPM Blast at 53lbs.

With my game slowing down I knew that I needed a game improvement racquet & the Pure Drive 110 was a good match for me. The frame itself generates a lot of power. Super lightweight, was able to swing this stick with ease which is a big benefit. One knock I have with this racquet is the overall stability of the frame. The extended length at 27.5 helped give me additional reach on my groundstrokes & a little more leverage on my serve. I get my Pure Drive 110 racquet strung up with the Babolat Xcel at 53 pounds.

I researched and demo'd a bunch of racquets before deciding to buy the Babolat Pure Drive 110. This racquet has great balance and a large hitting area. It feels very comfortable in my hands and the ball contact is solid on the racquet. It does very well with mishits if you miss the sweetspot and there is little to no vibration and no tennis elbow issues. It's a great racquet.
5 StarsExcellent racquet!
