The latest update to the Babolat Pure Drive 107, the new Pure Drive GT (Graphite Tungsten) 107 adds a hybrid of braided carbon fibers and tungsten filaments throughout the entire racquet. Tungsten strengthens the frame to reduce torque for greater precision (Babolat claims 26% more precision compared to the previous Pure Drive). Babolat continues to utilize the Cortex vibration filter at the top of the handle. Cortex is used in several of Babolat's players racquets to enhance feel by cancelling only the 2 highest vibration frequencies. Only those frequencies that enhance feel are permitted to pass through the Cortex filter.
Babolat has kept the specifications on the new Pure Drive GT 107 virtually the same as the previous generation Pure Drive Team 107 and Pure Drive Cortex 107, and remains the most powerful power option in the Pure Drive line. 107 sq. in. head, 10.50 ounce strung weight, and 301 swingweight provide an excellent balance of power, control, and maneuverability.
