The Pure Drive Tour Plus is a 2015 update to the Babolat Pure Drive Roddick Plus, now featuring a sleek blue and black design. This extremely powerful Pure Drive Tour Plus is updated with Babolat's FSI "frame to string interaction" technology with a redefined sweetspot. Babolat's Pure Drive impact zone is located higher than the traditional center of the racquet, allowing for increased power potential and better comfort. Elliptical shape of the frame helps with added resistance against torque and flexing for increased power. The Pure Drive Tour Plus which is a half inch longer at 27.5 inches, features Babolat's Cortex Dampening Interface for even better feel. Only those frequencies that enhance feel are permitted to pass through the Cortex filter. Overall, this frame is a great option for a players who are physically and technically at the top of their game, seeking the heaviest option in the 2015 Pure Drive racquet line.

Babolat has kept the specifications on the new Pure Drive Tour Plus virtually the same as the previous generation Babolat Pure Drive Roddick Plus, Pure Drive Roddick Cortex + and Pure Drive Roddick GT +. Great player-oriented tweener (between powerful/controlled) frame for those who prefer a Pure Drive with a heavier heft and longer length for more pop. 100 sq. in. head, 11.70 ounce strung weight, and 326 swingweight provide an excellent balance of power and control. The Pure Drive Tour Plus provides a little more stiffness and power, provided you are able to handle the additional weight and length.
Babolat created a higher sweetspot on the string bed for additional power and comfort in the hitting zone. Frame String Interaction technology is located in the hoop of the racquet, allowing the ball to stay on the stringbed 25% longer than traditional racquets.
Babolat’s GT technology was implemented to provide ideal stability at ball impact. With GT technology, the frame is strengthened which reduces the torque, allowing for great precision. The additional rigidity through GT technology provides ultimate control and additional power.
The ultimate comfort technology from Babolat. The Cortex Dampening System interface was put into Babolat’s racquets to enhance feel by canceling out vibration frequencies. This technology is offered in two versions, the “Cortex System” focuses in on pure feel, reducing harmful vibrations. Babolat’s second offering, “Cortex Active” dampens vibrations allowing for maximum comfort.
Babolat’s elliptical frame shape is designed specifically to eliminate any added weight, frame twisting or racquet bending.
Babolat’s Woofer system is the first and most effective frame to string linking system. This technology allows for longer ball and string contact time, creating maximum comfort and greater control.
Unique frame thickness that gives the racquet less torque at ball contact, creating a livelier clean response
Love the update on this racquet from the PD Roddick. I used that frame for about 4 years now and decided it was time to update. I’ve tried many different brands over the years, but I keep coming back to Babolat. This racquet provides improvements in several different areas, which makes it a more than welcome upgrade in my opinion. Since I used the previous version, it was a smooth transition to this new racquet. I noticed an increase in power right off the bat, and more balls sailing past the service line than ever. I love the higher sweet spot as well, because even my off-shots were controlled. This racquet has all over great stability, feel, power and control. Definitely recommend for those looking for a heavier racquet.

I’ve been using the Pure Drive Tour for a few years now and I decided to try this newer, slightly different frame. The Pure Drive Tour Plus has an extended length and is extremely powerful. I liked the new sweet spot technology in this frame right away, and how it is higher than the center of the racquet. I have been using this frame for about two weeks now and the transition has been fairly smooth, with the exception of some slight arm pain from a heavier weight. I will say that I strung it with a softer string and this helped soothe that pain pretty quickly. I also noticed that the added length in the frame made me feel like I could cover the entire court with ease. This is a very maneuverable frame and helped me gain confidence in approaching the net to volley, as well as getting some pop on my serve. I don’t know if I will stick with this racquet 100%, but it is definitely worth trying!

Really enjoyed the extended length, allowed me that extra reach on balls all over the court. Hefty swingweight allowed for loads of power. I did notice the new FSI string pattern update to the sweetspot, which really helps out my game because the majority of my hits are at the upper half of the racquet. Had this racquet strung up with Babolat RPM Blast 16G which gave me an excellent amount of spin on my shots. This racquet really mixes power and control nicely.

took some time to transition from my old Roddick. Playing better but still getting the control under control. Great power strong shots. Hitting some good winners

This frame gave me much more control and solid ball striking. I wish it had a little more feel but I guess you can't have everything
