The newest addition to the legendary Babolat Pure Drive, now with cosmetic updates inspired by the Wimbledon tournament at the All England Club. This Pure Drive is updated with Babolat's new FSI "frame to string" interaction technology with a redefined sweetspot. Babolat's Pure Drive impact zone is located higher than the traditional center of the racquet. Elliptical shape of the frame helps with added resistance against torque and flexing for increased power. Cortex Dampening Interface for even better feel. Only those frequencies that enhance feel are permitted to pass through the Cortex filter.

Babolat has kept the specifications on this Pure Drive virtually the same as the previous generation 2012 Pure Drive, Pure Drive Team, Pure Drive Cortex, and Pure Drive GT. That is, the Pure Drive GT remains the definitive tweener (between powerful/controlled) frame. 100 sq. in. head, 11.20 ounce strung weight, and 308 swingweight provide an excellent balance of power, control, and maneuverability. Expect improved feel and solid performance from all points on the court with the latest Pure Drive!
Babolat created a higher sweetspot on the string bed for additional power and comfort in the hitting zone. Frame String Interaction technology is located in the hoop of the racquet, allowing the ball to stay on the stringbed 25% longer than traditional racquets.
Babolat’s GT technology was implemented to provide ideal stability at ball impact. With GT technology, the frame is strengthened which reduces the torque, allowing for great precision. The additional rigidity through GT technology provides ultimate control and additional power.
The ultimate comfort technology from Babolat. The Cortex Dampening System interface was put into Babolat’s racquets to enhance feel by canceling out vibration frequencies. This technology is offered in two versions, the “Cortex System” focuses in on pure feel, reducing harmful vibrations. Babolat’s second offering, “Cortex Active” dampens vibrations allowing for maximum comfort.
Babolat’s elliptical frame shape is designed specifically to eliminate any added weight, frame twisting or racquet bending.
Babolat’s Woofer system is the first and most effective frame to string linking system. This technology allows for longer ball and string contact time, creating maximum comfort and greater control.
Unique frame thickness that gives the racquet less torque at ball contact, creating a livelier clean response
I have been a Babolat user for many years now and I feel almost loyal to the brand and their products. I’ve been wanting to check out the new Pure Drive since I am using the older version (2009 if you can believe it) and when I saw this Wimbledon cosmetic I was really excited. When I first tried the frame I didn’t love it because it was a polyester string, but once I switched it over to a multifilament it was perfect. This is truly the best all around frame in the market. It brings power, control, spin, maneuverability, and more. The higher sweet spot in the frame was noticeable and beneficial, as it improved shot selection and accuracy. I’m a 4.5 interclub player and strung mine up with Xcel at 55lbs.
5 StarsGood balance of power and control

Loving this new look for the very best racquet on the market! The Pure Drive really crosses everything off my checklist when looking for a new racquet. It feels great when I’m swinging, and allows me to swing through without exerting too much effort. It almost felt like this racquet does all the work for me. The balance of power and control truly can’t be beat! The mix of power and control was also matched by the great amount of topspin. It’s not too heavy and it’s not too light, it really is the perfect weight and feel. I could not have asked for a better frame. Really recommend giving this one a try- I strung it with Babolat Pro Hurricane/ Xcel at mid tension.

Very cool new look on the Pure Drive with the black and green color update honoring my favorite tennis tournament, Wimbledon at the All England club. I really enjoyed Babolat's new FSI technology. As a player that typically hits most of my shots at the top of the racquet, expanding the sweet spot further up the string bed really increased my level of play. I strung my racquet up with Babolat's Origin 16G at 55 pounds really allowing me maximum amounts of power and a solid feel. Nice if you are a fan of Wimbledon and are looking for a racquet that features power, a comfortable feel and nice control.
5 StarsPowerful racket
