Over twenty steps go into the construction of each Bakko backboard panel. Pre-fabricated panel concept allows virtually an unlimited size and/or placement capability for any facility or application. Each panel is 4 feet wide, 8 or 10 feet high and weighs 80 to 150 pounds. The backboards are ready for play when the pre-fabricated, completely finished, green fiberglass interlocking panels are affixed to your tennis court fence posts or wall. The Bakko assembly kit holds the panels in a tight, unitized, side-by-side construction. Kits come in traditional flat and single curved styles. All kits are complete.
Panels are 1 3/4" thick with correspondingly less interior framework and thickness of sound deadening material. Each panel is otherwise manufactured similarly to 10' professional lines.
Panels are pre-drilled so green face bolts attach each panel to metal channel. 8' backboards are usually suspended a foot off the ground. This backboard is not as quiet as the 10' high professional series but an excellent durable practical product. Typically purchased by schools, universities and parks. Most common purchases are 3 and 5 panels.
Space required: Width of backboard and length of 40' (service practice requires 39', distance from baseline to backboard).
