Dunlop 200G Muscle Weave Tennis Racquet

An old favorite returns with the Dunlop 200G - a control-oriented players racquet with a very stable, solid feel. Its dense string pattern helps with string durability and tends to reward those who already generate their own spin. A thicker elastomer/kevlar throat bridge increases power and stability versus the previous-generation 200G. Muscle Weave technology enhances frame response and feel.

Note: This racquet is pre-strung with Dunlop Synthetic Gut 16 at Dunlop's recommended tension of 60 lbs.

5 Stars Great racquet

from NJ wrote (July 10, 2014):

I started playing when I was 10, and played consistently and competitively for 10 years, but have been away from the game for about 20 years now. I'm getting back in to tennis with this racquet. I like a racquet that is head light and not too heavy, with more flex and control than stiffness and power. For me the MW 200G fits the bill. It replaces the Rossignol FT 6.60 that I've had since the late 80's. I have it set up with Gamma Poly Z 16 at 59lbs. and a Gamma vibration dampener. I'm an aggressive net player in doubles, but a baseliner in singles. In either case I like to end points quickly. My style is traditional: eastern forehand, one-handed backhand, continental for serves and volleys. When I first took this racquet to the courts I was hitting groundstrokes so solidly from the first swing. I switched to my Rossi for comparison, and could not hit it as well as with the Dunlop, so the new racquet does suit me better. I agree with the reviews I've seen and read that his MW 200G is solid in feel, comfortable

5 Stars Muscle

This is a racquet with a lot of pop. It needs to be strung to 55-57 with a black widow string to make it an exceptional addition to my collection of biomimetic 100's and 200's.

4 Stars A good racket for control

I've had this Dunlop racket for more than 10 years. I have almost the complete collection of the 200 line rackets from Dunlop. So I can make a comparison between the different 200 rackets. The Muscle Weave racket feels very solid overall. It gives very crisp volleys and serves. I really like the feel of the racket. There is not a whole lot of difference between the different 200 line rackets, but I like the pop it gives on all the shots, as I said, very crisp shots (I string all my rackets at 55 lb.). After more than 10 years, this is still a great racket.
