After playing with the older version of this frame, I decided to go ahead and try the newest version of it. I have to say I was really impressed with this frame! It gives me a lot of power without much effort which is what I need in my older age. The 115 inch head size allows for a large sweet spot and forgiveness on my ground strokes. This racquet helped me get a faster swing speed without exerting tons of effort and also had great control. Anyone who is saying it was too light is probably too advanced of a player to be using this racquet with a large head size and light weight. For me this racquet worked perfectly! I recommend it to anyone looking for a larger head size and light frame.
Played with the older Speed PRW frame, so I decided to try out the newest version with the latest Graphene XT technology. I always thought racquet technology was a gimmick, until I tried this frame out. The new Grapehene technology is legit. I have so much more frame stability when using this racquet. With my swing speed slowing down over the years, I knew I needed a lightweight offering with a big sweetspot. I had this racquet strung up with Head Synthetic Gut PPS 16G at 54 pounds. I really recommend this oversized frame for an older player that enjoys a large sweetspot resulting in a bunch of power.
I was not in any particular hurry to get new racquets, so I tried a bunch of demos. This model from Head was ideal. Its performance was best sized up one day by one of my friends/opponents who said, "I think you found your new racquet" while I was trouncing him.
I'm sure this is a quality racquet. I tried a Midwest demo that came strung seemly very tight w/ 18 gauge string. The racquet was powerful, but I could not get repeated performance out of it. It seems too light. I really couldn't find the sweet spot consistently. This racquet is one I'd strongly recommend demoing before you bought. For me, it was sadly......disappointing.
