The Head Youtek Graphene Speed MP continues to be a slightly more forgiving and spin friendly option in Head's players racquet range, and introduces the use of Graphene - the world's lightest and strongest material. Allows for an optimal redistribution of weight from tip to grip, producing increased swingweight without sacrificing maneuverability, for more penetrating shots. Slightly wider 22mm beam, 100 square inch head, standard 27 inch length and open 16x19 string pattern. Expect a nicely controlled frame for advanced players, seeking the added forgiveness and spin potential from the more open 16x19 string pattern. Note: Head does not include a cover with this racquet. Midwest Sports only ships Head products to domestic addresses in the U.S. and U.S. Territories.

HEADs new core technology introduces the world’s strongest and lightest material: Graphene. Discovered in 2004, Graphene consists of a single two-dimensional layer of carbon atoms. This material has a breaking strength 200 times greater than steel, which makes it the ultimate substance for creating new HEAD tennis racquet frames with exceptional properties. Graphene technology allows for the first time an optimal redistribution of weight in HEAD racquets. Through the use of Graphene in the shaft, the weight in the middle part of the tennis racquet can be reduced. Instead, weight can be shifted from the racquet shaft to more functionally relevant areas in the tip and grip. This unique construction provides players with an unmatched maneuverability and an increased swingweight. In other words, a racquet with Graphene is easier to swing and enables even more powerful shots.

Great Stick! I customized mine with lead but even without the added weight this stick preforms great from all areas of the court. I've played with every brand of racquet in the past but none match the engineering quality of HEAD.
I just purchased my first Head Racquet constructed of the newest / lightest / strongest material to date. I feel that it is a step-up from my Wilson BLX Team Blade racquet. I am pleased so far with the racquet switch.
