The Head YouTek Radical Lite is a new lightweight, more forgiving version of Head's hugely successful Radical series inspired by Andre Agassi. Makes use of new Head technologies such as d3o and DuPont Teflon grommets in an intermediate player-oriented package.

With more forgiving specifications than the other YouTek Radicals, the YouTek Radical Lite offers a 105 square inch head, open 16x19 string pattern, wider 25mm beam, and 9.5 oz. strung weight. The most powerful and forgiving option in the Head YouTek series, yet surprisingly controlled for a player with a moderate swing speed.

Head introduces d3o technology in the Head YouTek line, and is a "smart" material in that it behaves differently under varying dynamic loading or impact. Integrated in the frame lay-up and positioned in the shaft area (where the racquet flexes the most), d3o seeks to help players maximize performance on all shots. High speed impacts lock d3o together within nanoseconds at the molecular level, stiffening the frame to provide maximum power. Conversely, on slower speed impacts, the d3o molecules absorb the impact providing softer touch for better feel.

The YouTek Radical Lite also uses a DuPont Teflon grommet system that reduces friction. Less friction means maintaining more of the strings energy, and a resulting slight increase in power.
