The K-Swiss UltrAscendor Mid combines performance features with lightweight materials and design elements that minimize the weight of the shoe, plus the added ankle support of a mid-cut height. From the skeletalized outsole with exposed EVA to the unique design of the Cushion Board, each feature of the UltrAscendor was engineered to elevate the level of game play.
K-Swiss has discontinued the Ultrascendor Mid. This is the last shipment of this shoe.
Two Piece Outsole: Aosta 7.0 rubber and exposed EVA minimizes the weight of the shoe.
Cushion Board Construction: Lightweight EVA and TPU Cushion Board shed weight while providing support.
Average weight: 14.9 oz. (Size 8.5)

This is the second pair I've owned. They have been around a while. The first pair de-laminated in the soles, however they were so comfortable and supportive, I ordered another pair. I have a wide foot and this shoe has a roomy toebox.
3 StarsDefier better for me...

Bought the shoe because of the increased ankle support and the fact I adore another pair of shoes from K-Swiss.
After playing tennis for awhile I have learned that when my knees or but hurts it's not because I've been playing more, it's all about the shoe. I've also only injured myself in shoes I have worn too long.
I play 5-7 times a week and am a 3.5 player.
One of my knees is hurting after playing for a week and a half with this shoe, and I am a bit sad because I had such hopes for it.
The Defier is the K Swiss shoe that works for me and even broken down my knees and but feel better than with this shoe.
Gonna have to wear the Old Defiers till I order a new pair and use these for a walk in the park or something like that.
Too roomy in the front of the foot and it feels like my heel is too low.
Rather understand that it is being discontinued, I would look to the Defier.

These are the best! On my 5th pair. They are long lasting and have great support. Only negative, they are heavy.
