The Babolat Pure Control Tour is new for 2014 and replaces the Pure Storm GT tennis racquet series. Still a quintessential players racquet with a solid, stable, comfortable feel, with GT (Graphite Tungsten) technology adding a hybrid of braided carbon fibers and tungsten filaments throughout the entire racquet. Babolat has developed a new material, Flex Carbon, with less density of carbon fibers for more flexibility. Flex Carbon technology is featured at the 9 o'clock and 3 o'clock locations of the racquet, allowing for the ball to stay on the stringbed longer. Woofer technology eliminates any string lock-up, allowing the strings to move freely and enhancing the feeling of the ball.
With a 21mm straight beam and a 98 square inch headsize, the Pure Control Tour is designed for a more-advanced player with a longer, faster swing, looking for a frame with a heavier heft.

Control + Feel
Very control oriented racquet that was very comfortable and maneuverable at the net. I felt very solid stability on hits from all over the court. Do not expect this racquet to give you a lot of power, you'll have to produce a lot of that on your own. Small head size with a small sweetspot. The 16x20 allowed for a lot of control and allowing for added spin. Had this racquet strung up with Babolat pure hurricane tour & vs gut at 54 pounds.
You need to snatch up one of these racquets soon before they are all gone. It is the ultimate players racquet with sweet touch, low power, and a soft buttery forgiveness. I have recently bought two more and once I get some more cash, I will get another one!
Very solid racquet. Was using the roddick GT version. This racquet has a solid feel. Great for baseline players. I added about 13 grams to the racquet head and it gave it more bite and added to the serve. I am a4.5 player.
For me with a one hand backhand this offers control and power with xcel string . great flex and feel on all shots. I play at the 5.0 level , this stick needs a long, strong stroke .
