This is one of the best feeling rackets I've ever played with. It's easy going through the hitting zone and the amount of spin I've gained is amazing. The frame can feel a little fragile against hard hitters but I think it had more to do with finding the timing of a lighter racket. Having said all that I can't get a set of string to last an hour. I have, what I would consider, classic strokes, hard swinger but not exceptional topspin. I think it's just the string pattern that might do this one in for me.
Wow, what great feel! just played my first match with my new Wilson blade 98S and won. Opponent had trouble with my increased top spin. Said he notice more top spin. If you now how to hit top spin (brushing up on the ball) windshield wiper like, you'll love this raquet! Notice I lost some MPH on my serve but great spin and control.
Have always loved the 16 x 18 pattern, and was compelled to try this version of the Blade with the 18x16. Strung with Babolat Addiction @ 58LBS, this racquet is plush. Great flex and really easy to generate both spin and nice power. I added about .5 ounces of lead to the head and found better stability. I am enjoying the Blade 98S
