What is BLX?
Basalt is a natural volcanic rock used in manufacturing and made into fine and ultra fine gold fibers. Basalt fibers are enviornmentally friendly and superior to other fibers in terms of thermal stability, sound insluation, vibration assistance and durability. With the new BLX line, Basalt fibers are woven longitudinally with the innovating [K]arophite Black to create the most advanced composite ever in the industry. Players will find the ultimate in frequency reduction while retaining the performance of carbon fiber in terms of lightness, responsiveness, stability and rigidity.
Basalt added into racquets filters out unwanted frequencies (i.e vibrations) that reach the hand to deliver a clean feedback and sensation for the perfect feel players demand.

Very nice racquet
Arrived in timely matter - but no cover came in shipment? Well balanced for 110 size, lighter feel but still has some quality head weight, strings are in 55 range. Only downside was the grip - very slippery so changed out to Wilson Contour Grip in black - feels much better. Good fit for 3.5 - 4.0 player like me looking for combined power and control.
Love this racquet
This is a very light but powerful racquet. I am a 4.5 who plays 4-5 times a week. This never hurts my arm, generates tons of pop on serve, and I hit with tons of Topspin so I like head heavy racquets. Don't let people say this is a Grammy racquet. Try it, you might love the oversized head at the net and huge forgiving sweet spot.
Tempest Four BLX
Racquet is very light & stiff.
play 5 days a week love it so lite yet hits very nice. four friends got it try it out . have 2 all i need
I love this racquet! It is extremely light-weight, yet slightly head-heavy. It's perfect for my game as I age.
Lightweight and Maneuverable
I bought the Wilson Four Tempest about 2 years ago and now I wanted a backup racquet. After testing 4 others, I decided that the Tempest was still the best. Since it is no longer being manufactured, I moved quickly to purchase another one. The head-heavy weight is just what I need to give me more power. And, there are no worries about tennis elbow with this ultra light frame.
