Shoe fits to standard size. Comfortable, not too heavy. Had shoes 3wks and tongue came loose. Gonna send it back to see if cov under warranty. Other than that the shoe is great.

3 Stars Love the shoe but!!

from FL wrote (June 18, 2015):

I bought this shoe awhile back and it fit well and found it to be very comfortable. I bought three more pair and two out of three of them broke their seal where the sole is glued to the shoe. The last pair did so after only three times being used. Had to use crazy glue to hold it together.

I can't believe it!

New Balance had always been quality product to rely on for comfort, durability and function. Not this this model!! My second day I wore them in a doubles match, the tongue on my right shoe completely separated at the stitching to the box toe. So, basically I am the proud owner of new shoes that look great and have no purpose. It is so disappointing that New Balance has farmed out their manufacturing to a foreign country and thereby soiled their reputation.

3 Stars NB 996

from CA wrote (March 16, 2015):

My experience with the shoe as a low to the ground, speed oriented type was a good one. But in terms of durability, the 996's were pretty flimsy. They also weren't out of the box comfortable. They gave me blisters on my first day with them and their insoles fell apart. I'm pretty rough on shoes so maybe less aggressive players will have a better experience with them.

Ordered the NB limited edition shoe and was not disappointed. The shoe is very light on your feet but gives you comfort and stability. This stylish shoe looks as good as it feels. The sole gives you good stop and go action and is very low to the ground. It is a great quality shoe and is priced well.
