These Penn balls are comparable to the Wilson Extra Duty balls with one important exception--they don't fuzz up nearly as much with use. If you not only want to play but also practice later with the balls you play with, choose these Penn balls.
One of the best balls! Highly recommend extra duty
Many of my friends buy somewhat less expensive balls at discount stores, but I think these balls are a better buy. I get much more play from a can, because the balls retain their bounce longer.
Best ball going. Long wear on hard courts. All the balls feel the same off the racquet and bounce the same after long use. .
We decided to compare three sets of balls - Dunlop Grand Prix, Pro Penn Extra Duty, and plain old Penns (the cheap ones from Costco). The Pro Penn won hands down. They lasted the longest, kept a good bounce, and maintained good color for visibility. All balls are not equal so I am glad I took the time to test this for myself. I like ordering a case at a time as I love the convenience of having a fresh can for a spontaneous game and/or don't want to run to the tennis shop all the time.
They last long even after a long hitting session. As a 4.5 player I usually use regular Penn balls once, but with these they last two-three times as long which is worth it!
These are the finest tennis balls I have ever used. I have used every brand and these are the best.
I used to use US Open balls, we play with them and then put them in our practice basket, we noticed we couldn't keep them in the basket as long because they were becoming dead sooner. we even opened quite a few cans over the the last couple of years that were still sealed put upon opening the can noticed after the first hit that they were dead! These Penn balls last longer, and after a year of using them have never opened a bad can. We travel to tournaments a lot and noticed an amazing number of clubs are using them that used to use the Wilson balls.
These balls last forever. I'm a 4.0 player who plays with a 5.0 player. We hit the ball pretty hard and they last set after set. More expensive but well worth the price. I have opened up two other cans of balls (Wilson US Open & Dunlop) for comparison. There truly is NO comparison. These balls last set after set.
Opened the can on Monday, played for two hours, and played with them again the following Monday. Excellent balls! Tom
These are the best, most durable tennis balls I have ever played with. They play the same in the 5th set as they did in the first and are even good to hit with days and days after they were opened. Very HOT balls!
