I was initially stoked to find a shoe that felt very similar to the Nike 2K10-2K12 series which was replaced by the gaudy AIRMAX. Nice low ride, good lateral support and generous cushioning. One area they fell short on out of the box was a cheap insole with zero arch support, but when I slid my old Nike insoles into these shoes it was a perfect match. Unfortunately it was a short match. Having worn through 2 pairs in the past 3 months, be warned that unless you're a pro with a full sponsorship you would be best advised to get a different shoe: The outsole guarantee is a gimmick, because the uppers on these shoes are downright flimsy. Here's what happens: During the middle of first month, the cushioning around the heel wears out, and by the start of the second month, the shoelace eyelet base along the instep starts to pull away from the outer shell. There is no third month, which is disappointing since I would regularly get at least 3 months out of the 2K12's.
initially found supportive but ankle supports very firm compared to my other K swiss shoes and one shoe cramped my foot...also found on quick movements that my toes were crushed/pushed into front of shoe..early days yet but consider they are too firm on upper foot.
I've had 2 pairs of Big Shots and these supposedly improved Big Shot 2's are not. The is the first day I've worn them and the bottoms of my feet are killing me and feel bruised. They were hurting on the hard court while playing and hurt especially worse since I'm home and have taken them off. The uppers on these shoes are split down the middles as mostly rubber and plastic on one side and very little leather on the other. I'll keep with the regular Big Shot or my tried and true K-Swiss Ultra Ascendors. Will have to see how the out-soles hold up.
These shoes are very light for the amount of stability/support they provide. Lateral movement in them is great. They also seem to live up to the outsole guarantee based on the design and feel, butI haven't had them long enough to truly put it to the test. On the downside, the toe box is a bit large, but my impression may be biased because my old Barricades were very snug. The fit is at best true to size and at worst about a half size large. I solved this problem by replacing the insole with a thicker one, and now the shoes fit and feel great. Overall, great shoe for those looking for a light shoe with good support and stability.
