Volkl introduces the heir to the Super G 10 (295G) with its brand-new offering of the V-Sense 10 (295G) tennis racquet. This V-Sense 10 is the lightest V-Sense 10 frame geared closer toward the more advanced tournament player. The V-Sense 10 (295) offers improved vibration control and pin-point accuracy.
Like that of the Super G 10, this V-Sense 10 supplies Volkl's newly improved speed grommet system. The Super G technology allows for extra movement inside the string bed providing a lively response. Volkl has supported the structure of the frame by adding a tri-carbon matrix to the construction, securing Volkl's classic feel. VSensor dampening technology implemented within the handle system helps kill off any racquet vibrations while preserving a comfortable feel.
With the 98 square inch head, a fine 11 ounce strung weight, and a more opened 16x19 string pattern, Volkl's V-Sense 10 (295) is an outstanding option for the player who enjoys a lighter weight and plays with a precise level of control and has a longer fast swing.
I have forever been a Volkl loyalist, loving the classic dampened feel that Volkl has always afforded. I did play with the earlier (Super G) version of this racquet, so I figured why not give this V-Sense a demo session. Enjoyed the weight of the frame, it still has that advanced players racquet handle to it, but the weight was more in my wheelhouse. This racquet is a control-friendly frame that has a smooth feeling response to it. Precision was not lacking. I was painting the lines from all over the court especially down the lines. A rather obvious racquet when you look at the specifications, the power level is low, and it's geared closer towards the players that have fast full swings. Stability up at net wasn't as strong as a thicker beefed up racquet would be, but excellent overall feel, control, and spin access. As a demo, the racquet came strung with a synthetic gut around mid-tension of 55lbs.
