Volkl introduces the lightest offering in the new V-Sense 8 racquet line with the Volkl V-Sense 8 (285G). This speedy, spin friendly frame comes in at 10.7 ounces strung.
The V-Sense 8 (285G) tennis racquet has a newly redesigned beam shape. Volkl combined its classic precision styled beam with its box organix beam construction, which will allow for more feel with a very firm clean response. The V Sense 8 (285) features Volkl's Super G speed grommets, which was designed to allow the strings to move in all possible directions. In addition to the Super G grommet system, Volkl introduces a new dampening technology known as VSensor. This technology has been integrated within the handle system and is specifically design to eliminate racquet vibration, maintaining Volkl's efforts to provide a very comfortable frame. Volkl moved away from the fiberglass construction and now features the new tri-carbon C3 material construction located within the shaft and head of the frame.
With a newly updated open 16x18 string pattern and a lightweight 10.7 ounce strung weight, the Volkl V-Sense 8 is a great racquet for intermediate to advanced baseline players looking for a lightweight, speed friendly frame that can deliver a nice blend of spin, control and power.
After giving all of the V Sense racquets a try, I felt that this one was most suitable for my level of play. I’m a mid level player, only playing a few times a week and really just looking to improve right now. This racquet felt easy on my arm, and I was able to swing through with ease and cover the entire court. I typically don’t try out any Volkl racquets, probably because I haven’t heard much about them. But I have to say, I will not look past them again. This racquet was easy on the arm but also stable at the same time, and provided a great level of comfort and power. I also noticed an improvement with topspin shots and serves. Pleasantly surprised by this frame!
5 StarsLightweight with good stability

Demoed all 3 of the V-Sense 8's. When I got out onto the court and played with this racquet, I was pleasantly surprised by this version. I am a 3.5 level player that does not get out on the court as much as I'd like. When hitting with the 285G, I really loved how easy it was to swing. Before hitting in the court, I have to admit that I was a little worried about the stability. Volkl quieted my concerns very quickly, they did a fantastic job at making this version very stable and maneuverable. The 285 allowed me to be blend spin, power and control with a very smooth crisp response. All 3 racquets maintained that classic Volkl feel. These demo racquets came pre-strung with a multifilament.

Love the power and spin. I am a 3.5 player and looking to improve and I think this will do the trick! Serve feels bigger that with the heavier Head Speed, but more stable than some lighter racquets I tried. Leaning how to put more top spin and the open strings and hybrid string helps. Surprisingly comfortable as well.
