Volkl introduces the successor to the Super G 8 (300G) with its latest offering of the V-Sense 8 (300G unstrung version) tennis racquet. This V-Sense 8 (300G) is a faster more maneuverable version than that of the heavier V-Sense 8 (315G).
The V-Sense 8 (300G), like that of the Super G 8 (300G), features Volkl's Super G speed grommets which was designed to allow the strings to move in all possible directions. In addition to the Super G grommet system, the Volkl V-Sense 8 tennis racquet has a newly redesigned beam shape. Volkl combined its classic precision styled beam with its box organix beam construction, which will allow for more feel with a very firm clean response. New VSensor dampening technology within the handle system that is specifically design to eliminate racquet vibration, maintaining Volkl's efforts to provide a very comfortable frame. Volkl moved away from the fiberglass construction and now features the new tri-carbon C3 material construction located within the shaft and head of the frame.
With a newly updated open 16x18 string pattern and a 'tweener 11.0 ounce strung weight, the Volkl V-Sense 8 is a great racquet for intermediate to advanced baseline players looking for that perfect blend of spin and precision without the cost of arm friendliness.
I consider myself a Volkl lover, and this racquet certainly did not disappoint. I tried both the 315G and the 300G version of the V Sense 8, and I did like this one just a tad more. The 300G version is definitely a faster, more maneuverable version than the heavier 315G. I believe this can be attributed to the lighter weight of the frame, making it easy to swing through shots and maneuver on the court. I really liked how Volkl incorporated the speed grommets, allowing the strings to move in all different directions. The new updated 16x18 string pattern seemed to work really well with the grommet technology. I thoroughly enjoyed the crisp feel of this racquet. Would definitely recommend!

From the first hit, I told myself "Yep, this is a Volkl". The V-Sense 8 (300G) maintains Volkl's classic feel. V-Sense technology within the handle of the frame really ensured great comfort with nice dampening maintaining a crisp response. Overall, this frame was very user-friendly - it offered a nice mixture of spin to go with control and power. Coming in at 11 ounces, the weight was fine up at the net. The racquet itself moved really fast, allowing me to really get some solid topspin on my shots. While hitting from the baseline, I was able to get excellent depth to go with nice control. 16x18 string pattern really gave my shots some solid spin. All around solid frame here.

H.S. player and needed a better racquet. I was able to handle the weight much better than the Babolat that my friends have. I rely on mobility and this racquet still gave me power and control on the move. Trying to add more top spin and this seems to be helping. Using Babolat Hybrid and loving it so far!
