Volkl introduces the successor to the Super G 8 (315G) with its latest offering of the V-Sense 8 (315G unstrung version) tennis racquet. This V-Sense 8 (315G) is the heaviest version of the three new V-Sense 8 racquet offerings, coming in at 11.6 ounces strung.
The V-Sense 8 (315G), like that of the Super G 8 (315G), features Volkl's improved speed grommets known as (Super G). In addition to the Super G grommet system, the Volkl V-Sense 8 tennis racquet has a newly redesigned beam shape. Volkl combined its classic precision styled beam with its box organix beam construction, which is ideal for the modern styled player who is looking to add a mixture of spin and control. Volkl moved away from the fiberglass construction and now features the new tri-carbon C3 material construction within parts of the head and shaft. tri-carbon paper, cellulose fibers, carbon nanotubes, graphen nanoplatlets & carbon black. New VSensor dampening technology within the handle system that is specifically design to eliminate racquet vibration, maintaining Volkl's efforts to provide a smooth feeling frame.
With a newly updated open 16x18 string pattern and a heavier 11.6 ounce strung weight, the Volkl V-Sense 8 is a great racquet for aggressive baseline players looking for a spin friendly frame with an excellent mixture of power and control.
This racquet reminds me a lot of the Blade 98s, and it feels even better than that frame. I was developing some arm pain when using that frame so I decided to give this one a try, and my pain has completely vanished! This racquet has an ample amount of power, and the control is excellent as well. At first it was a little heavy when swinging through, but it was nothing that couldn’t be adjusted. You can really feel yourself come in contact with the ball when you use this frame. It is a shame that more people do not know about Volkl racquets. This is worth the try!

Really solid update from Volkl, I've been playing with the Pure Strike 98 and have played with previous generations of these Volkl frames. I decided I wanted to give this racquet a try. So I went out and demoed it. Really enjoyed the weight of this racquet, it offered nice stability and pretty good put-away power. Really easy to swing, rewarding players who like to take full cuts. Has that classic feel, very crisp and responsive off of the string bed. Majority of my groundstrokes felt great, with the 16x18 string pattern allowing for a good amount of topspin. One thing I really didn't enjoy was the rectangular grip -- the flaring grip took a little time to get used to. All in all, this racquet is a solid choice for someone looking for power and spin.

Wanted to move on from my Graphene Instinct to something with a more traditional feel. 4.5 player with a big serve and forehand. Great pop and stability with extra top spin because of the opened strings. Feels much better than the Instinct or the Pure Drive I tried.
