Volkl introduces the successor to the Super G 9 with the V-Sense 9 tennis racquet. This V-Sense 9 offers more plow through than the Super 9, allowing great access to spin with its new unique 16x17 string pattern.
The V-Sense 9, like that of the Super G 9, features Volkl's improved speed grommets known as (Super G). In addition to the Super G grommet system, the Volkl V-Sense 9 tennis racquet has a new beam shape. Volkl combined its classic precision styled beam with its box organix beam construction, which is ideal for the modern styled player who is looking to add a mixture of spin and control. New VSensor dampening technology within the handle system that is specifically design to eliminate racquet vibration, maintaining Volkl's efforts to provide a very comfortable smooth feeling frame. Volkl moved away from the fiberglass construction and now features a new tri-carbon C3 material construction within parts of the shaft and head.
With a newly updated open 16x17 string pattern, the Volkl V-Sense 9 will allow for great access to spin while offering more power than the Super G 9 version. The Volkl V-Sense 9 tennis racquet is a suitable choice for the intermediate to advanced player with a longer swing seeking the ideal combination of spin and control with an added amount of pop.
I wanted to try this new racquet from Volkl after hearing about it from a friend. I have never really heard of Volkl as being a super popular frame so I was interested to see how it would be. I was really impressed with my practice session when using this racquet! I was able to plow through my ground strokes like never before. I also noticed a thicker beam which allowed me to add more spin and control to my shots. The 16x17 string pattern was something that took a little bit of an adjustment period, but within 10 minutes I was hitting like Roger Federer! I recommend giving this racquet a try if you’re an advanced player who likes to sit back at the baseline and bang balls.
5 StarsMore power than the Super G 9

I am a 4.5 level player -- who plays competitively in various club leagues. I've used the Super G 9 in the past, so I was very excited when Volkl announced an update. To be honest, this racquet is very different from the Super G 9, different beam construction and the string pattern is different as well. The 16x17 string pattern allows for ample spin potential and just overall comfort when hitting. The V-Sense 9 offered much more power and stability than the Super G 9. The weight came in at a very comfortable balanced weight for my liking (11.5 ounces) still allowed for a head light whippy feel. I loved the contact up at the net, developed really good depth on the majority of my shots. I first started out with a demo session for the V-Sense 9 and after playing with it for a week -- I decided I had to buy!

5.0 player with ALU Power Spin. Love the new open string pattern. Racquet feels more traditional than the previous versions. More flexible than the RDC indicates. Still a lot of plow to go with the spin though. Great new update to the Super G.
