The Wilson Juice 100S is an all new specification for 2014, offering a versatile, very spin friendly 16x15 open pattern that appeals to a wide array of players. Spin Effect Technology permits additional string movement, increasing the RPM of every shot! 26/25mm tapered design, spin oriented 16x15 string pattern, 11.3 oz. strung weight, and 100 square inch head for forgiveness. New Amplifeel 360 handle system technology for enhanced racquet feel to go along with increased power and reduced weight. Continued use of Basalt fiber (BLX) technology for improved frame feedback, continuing to feature classic feel in the same tradition as the previous-generation BLX models. New Parallel Drilling provides a consistent, more forgiving string bed response while dramatically increasing the sweet spot. Ideal for the intermediate to advanced player who prefers a nice blend of pop but with the added spin and control from this new string pattern.
As a lover of the Wilson Steam, I tested this racquet just looking to try something new with a little more spin. I wanted a medium to large head size with an open string pattern for added spin. This racquet had both of those, with the spin friendly 16x15 pattern and spin technology. One thing I noticed with this racquet was how comfortable it was, which I feel was amplified by the new cushion foam technology in the handle. The sweet spot of this frame enhanced my game all around the court, but definitely most noticeable in my groundstrokes. One thing I will say is that I had some balls fly off of my frame because of the new open string pattern. I think if I just strung it a little tighter I wouldn’t have had that problem. This racquet would be perfect for all ages and levels because of the forgiveness in the head size and sweet spot, and the spin friendly string pattern. I would recommend stringing this frame with a polyester string because a multifilament is bound to break fairly quickly with the open string pattern. I went with Luxilon Big Banger Alu Power Soft 125 at mid tension and it worked perfectly for me.

I wanted a large head size with some power and I have always trusted Wilson to provide my rackets. I like the spin effect string pattern for engineering the extra spin.

I demoed this racket and a Pro Staff 100LS at the same time. The power and spin from this racket are definitely noticeable, however, as other reviewers have stated, this racket can be lacking control at times, and can fly long on you when you try to add a little extra pop to your shots or when trying to hit an extremely flat shot. Serving can be inconsistent as well, though maybe with use over a week, feel and consistency can improve.

I played with the racket for the first time in competition without even working out with it. It was amazing. I have not hit with a racket in years that had such a good combination of both power and feel.

After reading the great review in Tennis Mag I decided to test drive. I found it hard to get a feel and control of my ground strokes with this racket. I have played for years with the Babolat Aero Drive +. Was expecting to be wowed. Didn't meet my expectations.

Likes - very similar in play to the Wilson Steam 105S. Seems like a very powerful racquet. So far, so good. Dislikes - none so far. Mine is strung with Dunlop Black Widow which I wouldn't recommend. I demoed with Lux 4G---a better choice.
