Wilson's newest 2016 update to ATP Pro Grigor Dimitrov's Wilson Pro Staff 97 Spin with the unique 18x17 string pattern. New black and red cosmetic update to this frame. The specifications from this racquet remain very similar to the previous version. The Pro Staff 97S will have added pop with the 97 square inch head, to go with a great amount of spin and precision.
Traditional feel and classic performance expected due to the Braided Graphite + Kevlar and legendary flat beam. The Pro Staff 97S features a very crisp responsive feel in a manageable 11.5 ounces strung weight. This racquet has a slightly lower 325 swingweight compared to the previous version. Overall, the new Pro Staff 97S is as an ideal frame for player's looking for optimal spin potential to go along with added maneuverability.

Compared to the previous 97S, I noticed this racquet is a little more head light. Easier to swing with the lower swingweight, allowing for pace and spin to increase. Ultra thin beam, lacking a little stability. I was impressed with the 18x17 string pattern; it allows me to generate outstanding spin. Overall, great update to the 97S, allowing for a pleasant user-friendly racquet with stable control and power. I had this racquet strung with Wilson's NXT 16G at 56LBS.
