Item #: D4471

Experience 4 of the greatest matches ever played on the hallowed grounds of Wimbledon, in this new 4 DVD set. The 1977 Borg/Gerulaitis semi-final, the 1975 Connors/Ashe final, the 2001 Rafter/Ivanisevic final, and the 2000 Agassi/Rafter semi-final. Almost 12 hours of the best tennis ever played!

  • Borg Vs. Gerulaitis 1977 Semi-Final - There have been many legendary encounters during the illustrious history of Wimbledon, none more so than the men's semi-final match between Bjorn Borg and Vitas Gerulaitis in 1977. Seeded number 8, Vitas Gerulaitis was up against his longtime friend and practice partner, Bjorn Borg, seeded number 2 and also the defending champion.
    Running time - 180 minutes.
  • Connors vs. Ashe 1975 Final - The prospect of Arthur Ashe beating Jimmy Connors in the final seemed remote, with Connors winning their last three matches. The championship, however, had a final twist in store as Ashe overcame the odds to beat his younger opponent in four tough sets.
    Running time - 120 minutes.
  • Rafter/Ivanisevic 2001 Final - The 115th Wimbledon Championship witnessed one of the most dramatic and emotional matches in tennis history. In the Men's Final, Croatia's Goran Ivanisevic, three times runner-up, defeated Australia's Pat Rafter in an epic five set battle.
    Running time - 195 minutes.
  • Agassi vs. Rafter 2000 Semi-Final - Few people can provide the kind of match Andre Agassi and Patrick Rafter played on Centre Court at the Wimbledon 2000 Semifinal. With two very contrasting styles, the match proved to be a thriller, with excitement, entertainment and the highest quality tennis. Centre Court at Wimbledon has seen some great matches over the last 114 years of tennis at SW19, and has indeed been the very home of tennis excellence. The Agassi vs. Rafter match lifted the standard to almost unattainable levels.
    Running time - 213 minutes.

All DVD's are NTSC format.
