The Yonex EZONE Ai 108 is a new lightweight, oversized game improvement option in the EZONE Ai series. Features include "Isometric" technology with an improved shockless grommet system, expanding the sweet spot and reducing the frame vibration. These technology updates allow improved frame stability, response and stiffness. The Isometric head shape maximizes the head size allowing ultimate swing speed and consistent power for off centered hits. Updated "Oval Pressed Shaft" cross section optimizes flex at key points of the beam.
The EZONE Ai 108 is ideal for the beginning to intermediate player with a slower to moderate swing looking for added maneuverability with some added pop. Extra forgiveness from the oversized 108 square inch head and wider 26/29/24mm tapered beam, as well as the open 16x18 string pattern. Great comfort and control with every shot thanks to the new "Dual Shut System".
I came up on oversized radicals (107") and recently upon getting back into tennis decided to try yonex exone ai 100's. The downsizing to a mid plus gave me pause, as I liked the racquets a lot, but was miss hitting more especially at the net, due to the lower size. So I tried the 108 too. It was great for what it was, but at 9oz it is really made for adding power to short swings. The larger size is very forgiving on reaction volleys, and they jump back across the net. Serves were easy as well. But for my much bigger swing, the light weight and bazooka boom power of the wide racquet made my big ground strokes fence finders, and made me fear arm trouble. So it wasn't right for my particular game, but for a smaller stroke, it would be a great weapon. Excellent feel, awesome look, big sweet spot and not the same racquet as everybody else.

Feel of racket was perfect. But for me when compared to the Prince O3 Silver it did not have as much punch.

I use the Yonez Ezone Xi 107, and decided to try this newer version last week. I think it's a great racquet for doubles players. It's very light and maneuverable and provides ample spin & power. It's also very forgiving on mis-hits, which is a good thing for aging players who do not have perfect footwork. I'm a 4.5 doubles player and have a short swing, so this racquet works well for me. My only complaint is that it's a little lighter than I like, so I may try it with a little lead tape.
