Keep their bounce for fairly long and are nice and bright.
I’ve only used a few cans so far, so I am still making up my mind about the Penn Tours. I’ve enjoyed the bounce and durability of most if the balks. But one of the nine or twelve I’ve used was dead, which disappointed me. So, at this point, my feelings about the balls is mixed
i constantly choose the tour ball because their consistency in bounce lasts longer than the reg duty or heavy duty ball.
These balls are one of the better values going. Basically the same quality as when Penn had the designation as the official ball of the ATP Tour. You’re getting the same balls but without the ATP logo on the can and balls (and now cheaper). Good durability and quality.
Best value at the lowest cost.
Some Good / Some Bad
I really liked the couple cans of Penn tour 4s I bought off the shelf, so I bought a case. I was a little upset to find the case contained all different series of balls (Penn Tour 1s, 2s, and 3s; no 4s). I don’t blame Midwest Sports; the box had Penn logo and branding on it. The balls were stiff like rocks the first couple weeks of use. They do break in nice, but playing in a league where a fresh can of balls is required made me feel like I lost 70 bucks.
great tennis balls
We keep buying these for our club, the balls last well on hardcourt surface, all players like playing with them and they are great value compared to other available tennis balls.
Like these balls!
This ball is great on hard court surface, and seems to last even a bit longer than the previous Penn ATP Extra Duty. Preferred ball at our tennis club. Great value for the price charged
