Hit the courts with Wilson's all-new Blade 98 (18x20) v7 tennis racquet. Endorsed on-court by Greek rising star, Stefanos Tsitspias -- Wilson showcases the 7th version of the Blade with a brand new tri-colored design to go with state-of-the-art innovations for next-level performance.

The Blade 98 features a dense 18x20 string pattern which will provide added stability and classic control. Updates to the Blade 98 (18x20) include an evolution to Clash's "FreeFlex" technology, known as "FeelFlex" in which Wilson has implemented a proprietary carbon mapping strategically placed throughout the hoop of racquet for better connected-to-the-ball feel and additional flexibility. Wilson has also refined the top of the grip with an all-new "Top Grip Taper" which provides better feel for top-hand grip placement. Wilson continues the use of Braided Graphite + Basalt composition which improves the flex of the racquet to produce enhanced feel and control. Parallel Drilling also continues which helps provide a consistent, more forgiving string bed response.

Overall, the all-new 2019 Blade 98 (18x20) v7 features that 98 square-inch head, with a comfortable 11.4 ounce-strung weight to go with the dense 18x20 string pattern -- all adding up to that traditional feeling racquet tailored towards that advanced player that places a premium on control & feel.

For Optimal String Performance Wilson Recommends:

  • Comfort: Wilson Sensation Plus
  • Control: Luxilon Smart

If selecting tension "Below Range", please note at checkout within the comments field your desired tension value.

Recommended to me by my uncle who is a tennis director. I love it so much my parents bought me two more. It’s lightweight and feels great when I have it hybrid strung. I like that i can swing fast and gain lots of power and spin. It feels great and doesn’t hurt my arm and has improved my game alot.

This is my third Blade 98 18x20 and second purchased thru Midwest Sports. I initially used Midwest's demo program to try this racquet and fell in love with it. Also, Midwest is my go-to for all tennis gear. Their customer service is top notch and delivery is always prompt. The Blade 98 18x20 gives me all the feel that I want while also having good power and arm-friendliness. Throw some poly strings on this and you have the best all-around racquet in the game.

I like how the racquet head is thin so that you get that extra whippy effect form hits, and it’s amazing control and spin

Very arm friendly racket with Good power and control. The sweet spot feels bigger than previous model. Frame feels stable and solid at baseline. It has good control off volley and power off serve. Strung it at mid tension is ideal. Overall worth to Demo.
