The revolution grows with the all-new Clash 100L from Wilson. The Clash gets its name by combining usually different traits of (power + control) & (flexibility + stability) all within the same frame.

The Clash 100L was created to take advantage of the more vertical swing of the modern game. The Clash 100L bends in a very unique way, which creates a deeper ball pocket -- enhancing the feel for the frame while still providing excellent stability.

Wilson has implemented all-new technology into the Clash, starting with the introduction of “Free Flex.” Powered by a proprietary carbon mapping, the Clash bends in all-new dimensions so players can swing freely with more confidence. Wilson also developed the Clash with a unique frame geometry known as “Stable Smart” – designed through digital simulation, providing best-in-class stability and power, making the Clash one of the most flexible frames in tennis.

The specifications of the Clash 100L compare nicely to the Clash 100 just in a slightly lighter package at 10.5 ounces strung. The Clash 100L includes a 100 square inch head and is 27 inches long. This frame fits a wide variety of players looking to play with a mixture of power, control and spin.

I transitioned from the Pro Staff 97LS (all black) V11.0 as this racket has similar strung and swing weights. The 97LS had a different string pattern that allowed for more spin, but the larger 100 sq in head, provided for sufficient spin despite the 16x19 string pattern. I found that my shots were flatter, but could compensate for spin with tiny grip adjustment. The real advantage of the larger head for me was i could more effectively drive my backhand slices, volleys came easier and in general my forehands and serves had more pop than before. From the power level perspective, it was not much different than my 97LS, but everything just felt more plush (no vibrations) even on off center shots. Just made this racket a fun racket to hit with, just because all shots just felt nice and easy. Control came with play time and adjustments and now this racket just fits me like a glove. The biggest difference is the dampening and how comfortable this racket is, w/o giving up the feel required for control shots. I strung this with Volkl Cyclone 18G at 50lbs and string life on this racket versus the 97LS was nearly 2x.

Just getting used to it

Had a Wilson Juice for 5 years and decided to move on. So far this racket seems good...hard to really rate because i got a different stringing also, so its a lot to assess in just a few weeks

Great for clean shots!

I am a player that enjoys dominating the baseline and unfortunately I didn’t get enough control out of this version of the Clash. However, the Clash is a great racquet overall - I wouldn’t not recommend it. When I came to the net and executed slices, those shots were perfectly clean and were effective. With regular ground strokes and serves I had a hard time controlling it. The weight of the racquet was perfect and I think this is my favorite Wilson racquet to date. Unfortunately it was not best for my game at the end of the day.
