The revolution grows with the all-new Clash 108 from Wilson. The Clash gets its name by combining usually different traits of (power + control) & (flexibility + stability) all within the same frame.

The Clash 108 was created to take advantage of the more vertical swing of the modern game. The Clash 108 bends in a very unique way, which creates a deeper ball pocket -- enhancing the feel for the frame while still providing excellent stability.

Wilson has implemented all-new technology into the Clash, starting with the introduction of “Free Flex.” Powered by a proprietary carbon mapping, the Clash bends in all-new dimensions so players can swing freely with more confidence. Wilson also developed the Clash with a unique frame geometry known as “Stable Smart” – designed through digital simulation, providing best-in-class stability and power, making the Clash one of the most flexible frames in tennis.

The Clash 108 is a game improvement racquet within the Clash line. With an oversized 108 sq inch. head, a lightweight feel thanks to the 10.5 oz. strung weight -- the Clash 108 also features an extended length at 27.25 inches with a 16x19 string pattern. Ideal racquet for players with a slower more compact swing style looking to play with power, control and spin.

For Optimal String Performance Wilson Recommends:

  • Comfort: Wilson Sensation Plus
  • Control: Luxilon Smart

I am a 4.0 club player and regularly play singles and doubles. My long-time racquet to date is the Dunlop Aerogel 4D 500 Tour, 100 sq/in head, using RPM Blast 17g at 55lbs. I have been trying the Wilson Clash 108 racquet for the past 3 months, which is my first light weight OS head racquet. I initially had it strung with RPM Blast 17g at 52 lbs., but found that the racquet had too much pop off the forehand. I restrung it to 55 lbs. which helped to keep the ball between the lines. However, after playing with it for a few more months, I still have difficulty controlling the forehand from the baseline, and even more so with hitting down-the-line. It could be the operator (me). Serve and net play was improved, which may have more to do with the lighter weight of the racquet. Possibly a good doubles racquet, but I would not recommend it for a singles baseliner. You could probably say the same for all OS racquets. I’ll be going back to a Midplus head size, but at a lighter strung weight of about 10.5 oz.
