Wilson updates the Ultra for 2020! The 3rd generation of the 100 upgrades two important performance features for players who tend to have a more classic horizontal swing: power & stability.

The Ultra 100 v3 is the ideal blend of power and torsional stability. The frame is composed of High-Performance Carbon Fiber which contributes to the impressive frame stability allowing for explosive amounts of power. Wilson has integrated “Perimeter Weighting System” which increases frame volume at the 3 & 9 o’clock regions of the racquet for added stability without compressing the sweet spot. The “Sweet Spot Channel” features cavity on the inside of the frame to extend cross strings and increase grommet movement for more power.

Wilson inverted “Power Rib” throat geometry which optimizes torsional stability for reduced frame twisting. “Crush Zone” grommet system compresses impact to boost power ball dwell time on the stringbed. Wilson features “Power Taper” which increases cross-section mass for even more responsive power.

Overall, the Ultra v3 100 is the perfect frame for players looking for a versatile power with a stable construction.

If selecting tension "Below Range", please note at checkout within the comments field your desired tension value.

Looking for a racquet that did a little more of the work. This racquet had plenty of power and monster spin to keep it the court. Think I found my new racquet!

The Ultra 100 v3 has good touch, power, and control. I use Wilson NXT 17g which gives me a good feel on my shots.

I felt like it didn't have any power or pop compared to my old Wilson Ultra. Possibly due to strings. I had it strung with the complementary synthetic 16G mid tension per midwest.

Ultra performs exceptionally

I have played with a Wilson 100LS for nine years. I play a lot of doubles and wanted a somewhat larger head but very maneuverable. I started by screening racquets using on-line specs, including a head size in the 105-110 range and a swing weight in the low 300. I play several hours with 4 demo racquets and settled with the Ultra 108. It was a no-contest. I feel that I can produce good groundstrokes and hit crisp volleys. Excellent racquet for an aging 4.0+ player.

The Wilson Ultra 100 V3 is much more than just an updated paint job. For intermediate/advanced players, the added stiffness of the V3 will translate to more 'pop' on your groundies, and even volleys. I bought 2 of these frames to replace the Ultra 100 CV models (my wife claimed those!). This is a great value, and Midwest will get your frame to you in no time.

I recently purchased (2) Wilson Ultra 100 V3 frames to upgrade from the Countervail models. The V3 is a bit stiffer than its predecessor, yet offers a great combination of power and touch. For advanced players, I highly recommend this frame.

Better than Clash? Maybe

After getting a demo Clash 100 last fall and learning to like it, I took a demo Ultra 100v3 while at USTA National Campus in Orlando. I was surprised how nicely it swings and feels. The size and profile are similar to the Clash but it's clearly not just a new paint job. The hit is solid, the power is under control, and the balance does feel great.
