Wilson updates the Ultra for 2020! The Ultra 108 from Wilson features two important performance features for players who tend to have a more classic horizontal swing: power & stability.

The Ultra 108 v3 blends a lightweight construction with all-new PowerProfile geometry to create a frame that engages a variety of tennis players. The extra surface area afforded by its generous head size not only provides added forgiveness, it delivers an added dose of power with the longer string bedThe frame is composed of High-Performance Carbon Fiber which contributes to the impressive frame stability allowing for explosive amounts of power. Wilson has integrated “Perimeter Weighting System” which increases frame volume at the 3 & 9 o’clock regions of the racquet for added stability without compressing the sweet spot. The “Sweet Spot Channel” features cavity on the inside of the frame to extend cross strings and increase grommet movement for more power.

Wilson inverted “Power Rib” throat geometry which optimizes torsional stability for reduced frame twisting. “Crush Zone” grommet system compresses impact to boost power ball dwell time on the stringbed. Wilson features “Power Taper” which increases cross-section mass for even more responsive power.

Overall, the Ultra v3 108 is an awesome option for developing juniors, doubles players and anyone experiencing arm discomfort can find significant value in the Ultra 108 v3.

If selecting tension "Below Range", please note at checkout within the comments field your desired tension value.

WILSON ULTRA 108 I have used a trio of Wilson LS 100 racquets for the past 10-12 years and have been very happy with it. As I get in my late 70’s, I have now almost ceased playing competitive singles and have embraced doubles. As most tennis players know, the doubles game is quite different from singles, as you spend a high percentage of court time near the net; obviously you still want to be able to hit good ground strokes, and passing shots but a high proportion of shots should be made forward of the service line. Also, as an aging player, you want to play with a racquet that is a bit forgiving as you will not hit the ball near the head center or soft spot every time. This is the main reason I started exploring for a new racquet with a somewhat bigger head, very maneuverable at the net (i.e. light swing weight) while still producing solid ground strokes when needed. I selected 4 candidates using the Midwest Sports racquet selection screen and tested these racquets through the Midwest Sports demo program. The Wilson Ultra 108 was a clear, undisputable winner; It is amazing to move from a head size of 100 to 108 sq. inches without having to swing harder due to the bigger size. The Ultra is definitely very maneuverable at the net, excellent for serves and ground strokes. I had this new racquet strung with a copolymer 17-gauge string at the recommended range midpoint. When my cashflow allows, I will certainly get a second one. Dom Nocturne

Very light and maneuverable. It has more pop than I am used to, which is good for aging players!

Love this new Wilson Ultra. I have a Clash 108 so the size and feel is similar but this Ultra has more power and seems to be more forgiving on off center shots.

Comfortable racquet and hits well, but not as powerful as 110
