Very good stick. Good contrôle, good spin, a litle less power but overall excellent racquet. Do not hesitate it is a good choice.

I've played with this racquet for about 4 weeks. I like the base line feel of the stick, but found it to be a bit light for my game. At the net I found it to be a bit unstable, but I rectified that by stripping out the strings removing the grommet and adding about 1 1/2 oz. of weight to the head of the racquet and now I love it. Being a equipment geek customizing my sticks with lead tape to racquets has been something I have done since I was a kid.

Really liked the control and swing speed of the racquet. Got excellent power from a hybrid of gut mains and lux 4g rough crosses. Too bad Wilson is discontinuing it.
4 Stars Spin machine...

After a 6 month search, this has become my racket of choice. My game is about generating a lot of spin and the 99s does just that. Good control and quick at the net. The performance is worthy of a 5 star review, but the racket only gets 4 stars due to a few things. The paint chips off of the frame very easily. A few low half volleys, where the racket makes contact with the court and you will quickly see shiny silver spots at the 3 and 9 oclock positions where the paint has chipped off. It appears to be only cosmetic, but it happens almost immediately. The other issue is that the plastic head guard is very flimsy. It doesn't cover much, and I have already broken one. My other fear, is a $99 price usually means they are discontinuing the model. I am up to 6 of them, I might need a few more. Wilson FST Burn 99s - Solinco Tour Bite 19g @ 52lbs
4 Stars Controllable spin, less power

Felt like Wilson downgraded the power levels within these new Burn frames. I demoed the 99s and it was very control friendly. I played with the previous iteration, with the Burn 100S and that frame had a little thicker beam and was a little more powerful. When demoing what really stuck out was how quickly I was getting the head of the racquet through the hitting zone on my serve and during groundstrokes. Baseliner friendly frame that offers great maneuverability — it's always nice to have the ability to add more spin without changing your stroke.
